We’ll if anyone visits this poor neglected blog anymore… This is my first post in months.. Sorry everyone.. But I get to share some big news.. Eric Barz Photography and the whole Barz family have relocated from Arizona to Michigan. After four years in the desert and another little addition to our family, we decided it was time to move back closer to family..
I’ll hopefully be better about updating this page in the coming months but for now check out EricBarz.com for some updated gallery images from some recent (and not so recent) work.
Eric
So lately I’ve been doing some photography for a new publication called MERGE that is produced by my church. Community Church of Joy. This has been a lot of fun and its been nice to be able to lend a hand with creating some of this new magazine. It was created to replace a much older newspaper as well as weekly bulletins.. It’s a very neat concept, since there is a K-12 School at our church one side of the magazine features the church and the other the school, hence the name MERGE.
You can check out the first two issues in digital form online here. I wanted to take a moment and share what were working up for this month. For the church cover we are focusing on prayer so the cover art is going to include something similar to this image probably with some tint and distressing.

For the reverse cover I got to go shoot the cast of the next school theater production “Godspell” the costuming was hilarious and the students are all awesome. It was loads of fun, check out the look below.

So I’ve discovered that for some reason or another I have not been receiving email. It looks like it may have been an issue with the mail server that my webhost uses. Regardless, I haven’t been receiving email for an undetermined amount of time. Issue is resolved, but I know I’ve missed some email. I think the issue started while I was on vacation, if you emailed me any time after June 26 please try again. So sorry for the inconvenience.
I’ve officially been back from Michigan for almost two weeks now but Liz and Asher are still there until Sunday. I’ll consider this part one of our photo update from the trip since I’m sure Liz will have a bunch more pictures that are awesome from her additional time there. We got to spend the two weeks while I was there with my parents which included a three day trip to my Aunt and Uncle’s cottage on the beautiful Portage Lake. But without further ado… The pictures:

Hi there.. Meet Krandall, she is the sister of my sister’s boyfriend. We met up in my good ole’ hometown of Mt. Pleasant, MI while I was visiting family last week and she rocked an amazing session. Check out the images below.

Hope you enjoyed the images.. Stay tuned for some other pictures from our Michigan vacation.
I know the blog has been a bit slow lately.. Doing the parent thing takes a whole lot of time…
Wanted to make the announcement that I will be coming to central Michigan (but am up for travel) from June 29 – July 11 if you are interested in booking a session let me know ASAP by email to info@ericbarz.com
Some more Asher photos will be on the way soon.. Stay tuned.
Meet Hayley and Kevin!

They were here in Arizona from the chilly midwest to get married on Tuesday. They had a small ceremony Tuesday evening and then we got together Wednesday to shoot some casual portraits and some awesome shots in their wedding attire at the historic Saguaro Ranch Park in Glendale.

The stunning bride and groom.

My absolute favorite from the session!

It was great working with you guys, hope you’re having an amazing time in Sedona!
Craig and Ellen got married this past Sunday at the beautiful Trilogy Golf Club at Vistancia and had their reception on site in the beautiful Kiva Club. Here are some of the images from the day.

Thanks so much you two for letting me be a part of your special day. It was so beautiful and lots of fun.
This past Sunday I met with Craig and Ellen to shoot their engagement session. They are getting married in a few short weeks and after this weekend I’m stoked on shooting the wedding. They are a super fun couple and we spent lots of time laughing and goofing around. The funny shots far out weigh the serious with these two.
We took a stroll around downtown Glendale to get these rockin’ images.
We found this shopping cart in an alley and Ellen had to have some pictures with it.
Can’t wait to see these two again for their wedding in March.
So if you don’t enjoy baby pictures, you might as well not visit this blog for a while. Asher is the new subject that the camera loves. Enjoy!
